Electrical Distribution Network Mapping in the Sultanate of Oman
where a centralized database system enabled planning, analysis,
maintenance and record management.
Electrical Distribution Network Mapping done for 3 utility
agencies, namely Rural Area Electricity Company(RAEC), Muscat
Electricity Distribution Company(MEDC) and Mazoon Electric Company
(MZEC).
Project Highlights
DGPS Survey of all electrical assets in the areas were carried
out
A front end application was also built for database viewing,
tracing & analysis
Achieved high positional accuracy for all electrical assets,
thereby resulting in better planning and pinpointing correct
locations of all Over head lines, Underground cables
Consolidated all data into a centralized database system
Geo-enabling the electrical network lines helped in planning,
analysis, maintenance and record management
