GIS helps governing bodies to maintain clear records regarding forests and make decisions based on the data obtained for enabling improved forest management.
By analysing various parts of the distribution system, utility managers can identify and analyse issues such as system overload, frequent power outages , electricity theft etc. The insights from spatial analysis can help improve the power supply and asset management, new transmission lines or cables planning and customer satisfaction.
